a little about Me
I'm a fantasy author, business owner, and professional collector of too many hobbies. I passionately write stories where choices matter, loyalty is tested, and courage means confronting the darkest parts of yourself.
When I'm not writing, I can be found reading, rewatching Psych or the OG Avatar: The Last Airbender, yearning to wake surf, badly flirting with my husband, or developing yet another new skill (I'm currently attempting embroidery).
I dwell in a desert basin nestled between towering mountains and a mysteriously murky lake that may or may not have a monster lurking in it.
my life mission
I believe that we are each the main character of our own story — that we were given this life to make choices and act upon them. To chase our dreams, to create joyful memories, to befriend kindred spirits and contrarians alike, to go on adventures and become the best version of ourselves.
Benjamin Franklin once said:
"...either write things worth reading, or do things worth writing."
In an effort to live by that motto, I've pushed myself far beyond my comfort zone. I won an art award for a hand drawing on canvas at nine years old. I received an award at age eleven for a short film I wrote and directed. I acted and did stunt driving in a short film that won the 2012 Utah High School Film Festival. I entered a pageant that I did not win. I self published a novel in high school as a Senior (that I intend to re-edit and re-release). I learned archery. I served a church mission in Spain and struggled to learn Spanish. I sought out, and ultimately married, the love of my life. I submitted a short story that was published in the 2020 UVU Warp n' Weave Creative Writing Journal. I graduated from UVU with my associate degree. I went skydiving. I earned a yellow belt in Krav Maga.
And I'm not done yet!
I continue daily to challenge myself to truly live, try new things, learn new skills, create memories and live a life worth writing about. My current goal is to become a proper English lady by mastering all of the traditional "accomplishments": reading, embroidering, drawing, painting, singing, fashion and dancing.
I may include fencing, because… why not?
Life is an adventure, and I intend to live it to the fullest and help others do the same.
